Lets Meet Beth Anne

Beth Anne Vella
Women's Bible Study Instuctor
"I Am"
Beth Anne has been attending People's church for a year now. This fall will be her first bible study class at People's, where she is taking the women on a journey through the seven "I Am" statements of Jesus.

Lets Meet Her

Who's the puffball in the photo with you?
I have two Bichon Frise dogs. The dog in the picture is my male named Bentley Edward Charles George.  If you think he has a lot of hair you should see his sister Lacey!

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy rubber stamping and flower gardening; My sister introduced me to rubber stamping about 10 years ago. I haven't stepped into a Hallmark store since!  I make all of my own cards.  I don't consider myself crafty but I can copy anything!   Flower gardening is something I learned to appreciate from both my grandfathers!  I use to have a large formal garden with roses, a knot garden, and beautiful sun loving perennials.  But living in the woods, I quickly found out that the deer, chipmunk, rabbit, mole and woodchuck love them as much as I do!  Now I have a small shade loving garden protected by a fence to keep out the critters!
How did you get started teaching bible studies?
I think it was about seven years ago I was in the position of either choosing Ladies Bible study material or leading a discussion group. About five years ago the Lord really impressed on me that new believers needed to be grounded in their faith. So I also have done some one-on-one or small group discipleship studies.  The last three years I was a discussion group leader in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and I felt for the first time I actually got some training on how to lead!  My passion is discipleship...coming alongside others to learn who God is and what He says in His word so they become grounded in their faith and trust Him more.

Where might we see you at Peoples?
You can find me at the second service (never have been a morning person!) sitting on the left side toward the front.  You will also find me at the Exchange in Fellowship Hall.
