Day Nine - Psalm 33:13-19

From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind;  from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth-- he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.   No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.   A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.  But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,  to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.

    God is Watching

It's amazing to think that God is always watching from His "dwelling place". My imagination causes me to see God in heaven, with his looking glass, gazing down on us. However, He reminded me that when I came to know Him and I gave my heart to Him, I became His dwelling place. He lives inside my heart and is always looking at my heart, shaping it so that I can grasp how great His love is for me, how great His power, How trustworthy He is. Do I trust Him and let Him have his way inside me?

  2. As, I was fixing myself breakfast this morning, I needed to open up a new container to use a buttery spread and a new plastic bear with honey in it. Each morning when I get up I check the blog so what Barb said was on my mind. When I took off the seal from the bear's head so that I could use the honey, I remembered how it says in Eph. 4:30 (...) the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed (...). Some of the seals they put on containers can be difficult to open then I realized that God's seal would be even stronger. If I never removed the seal from the plastic bear the honey would stay in it for a life time. At that point being God's dwelling place became very real in my mind.
