Day Six - Psalm 33:1-5
Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to
praise him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing
love.
"Praise is appropriate for the righteous."
ReplyDeleteAs I read through Psalm 33:1-3, my first thought was, "I am not righteous enough, I have so far to go." Immediately though, God drew my attention to the parenthesis in my amplified Bible. Righteous simply means, "to be in right standing with God." Thankfully, Jesus took care of that for me on the cross! When we know that we truly are in right standing with God and that He made it possible, we can worship fully and praise Him for what He has done for us and for the entire world! Indeed, the world is full of the evidence of his Kindness. Each one of us should be a walking, breathing marketing campaign for God's mercy and kindness. Let's try and live that way today!
Love singing to the lord. Thank you God for not caring what my voice sounds like.:)
