Psalm 37:5-13
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause
like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men
succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the
land. A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they
will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace. The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.
God is so good! All we have to do is commit to Him and trust in Him and he will be the one to take care of and avenge our adversaries. He asks us to live our lives in such a way that would be honoring and pleasing to Him. When we do this, it will automatically convict and shed "the Light" on those around us who want to do harm and try to succeed in their wicked schemes. It will expose them to others as to their true motive which leads only to evil.
ReplyDeleteWaiting on the Lord is not easy, and we may never see the outcome of the judgement or redemption of that person or persons who plot against us, but we know from this verse that God knows their day is coming. So, refrain from anger, show humility and meekness, and do not fret, for if we do so, He will bless us with a great inheritance and a peace that passes all understanding.
